Introduction
I have shown commitment and work ethic throughout this course by attending all of the
required intensive days in a timely manner. My organizational skills have allowed me to submit
all of my assignments on time and be properly prepared for group meetings. Professionalism was
seen in my ability to remain respectful to my professors and colleagues. The importance of
integrity was demonstrated through my ethical and moral mannerisms. Integrity was displayed
by trustworthiness as well; such as keeping all scheduled practice and recording times as well.
Social Responsibility
I have shown social responsibility by providing a positive, structured learning
environment for my diverse group of classmates. These qualities were demonstrated in my
ability to prioritize the succes, achievement , and motivation of others throughout this course as
well. I’ve maintained the belief that all students have the ability to learn and be successful. This
has helped me demonstrate a sense of fairness and equity for all students. This course has
allowed me to learn from others and feel more confident in my counseling abilities.
Commitment and Work Ethic
I demonstrated commitment and work ethic by listening attentively throughout the
course. My self-discipline resulted in consistent, adequate, and organized notes. This allowed me
to complete tasks on time and be well prepared for class. I showed my commitment to others
learning by volunteering during group practice and class discussion.
Reflection
My reflective practices were shown throughout class and breakout sessions. The courses
groups allowed me to demonstrate my abilities to work effectively with classmates during
practice and recorded sessions. After experiencing group practices, I was able to ponder ideas
that may be useful for self improvement. The discussions and role play sessions with classmates
allowed time for self-reflection. This gave me a better understanding of the areas that needed to
be improved. As a result, I was able to make more effective and informed decisions throughout
the course.
Integrity
I displayed personal integrity by demonstrating trustworthiness. This was shown in my
ability to keep in contact with group members and participate during scheduled group times.
During these scheduled breakout groups, I maintained the confidentiality and discretion of my
classmates. I was honest with my classmates when providing feedback inside and outside the
classroom as well.
Professionalism in behaviors and actions
I’ve demonstrated professionalism in my behaviors towards classmates and professors.
Professionalism was seen in my ability to receive constructive criticism and accept feedback
from others as well. I was able to remain patient, flexible and respectful when encountering
technical difficulties throughout the course. My feelings and reactions during group participation
were managed appropriately. I demonstrated responsibility by attending all appropriate meetings
in a timely manner. During these meeting times, I was dressed appropriately according to the
college dress code. I communicated my enthusiasm effectively and completed my assignments in
proper written english form. This course has provided me with effective strategies to the lifelong
process of counseling.
