Reflection Paper
The main goal of the program that we focused on during this course was to prepare
people, especially young adults interested in evangelism, to develop their faith and ministries
through their local church that would have the potential of making a difference spiritually,
physically, medically, and educationally in the community, nation, and world. The objective
was to give back to the community and encourage them to develop their own mandate to give
back to other people in a chain that ends up benefitting entire communities in different aspects
of their lives, with the medical and educational benefits targeted at the poor and vulnerable
members of the community. Therefore, while encouraging young adults to embrace evangelism
through their local churches, we will be giving what we have back to the community in terms
of helping those who cannot help themselves to gain a foothold in life. Through this, our
evangelism will ensure that we lack nothing we need, in accordance with Proverbs 28:27,
which states, "Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to
them receive many curses." In other words, it is a way of taking care of the needy in society,
those who cannot fend for themselves. Proverbs 31: 8-9 further reiterates, "Speak up for those
who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge
fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." This evangelistic work will, therefore, be in
accordance with the biblical worldview of giving back to society and caring for others
