How can police misconduct be prevented? Corrected?

Answer:
I do not believe that one could 100% prevent police misconduct, as it comes
down to individual behavior. However, I believe training and accountability are
2 of the most critical to help reduce police misconduct. Officers should be
required on an annual basis to adhere to requirements for de-escalation and
diversity training. De-escalation helps to improve the responses of officers in a
high intense situation. Diversity training simply helps you to understand
different cultures. That helps with interactions with individuals that could be
perceived aggressive based on their cultural background. Furthermore, holding

What is tactical communication? When should it be used?
Selected
Answer:
Response
Feedback:
Tactical communication is the basic principle of communicating during critical
incidents. As a Law Enforcement Officer, I have had to utilize this form of
communication on numerous occasions. This is especially important in
scenarios involving barricaded subjects. Often times we switch to a tactical
channel to prevent people who have police scanners from knowing critical
information being shared. If that information were to be intercepted, it could
put the safety of the officers at risk. This communication should be used during
critical incidents. For example: barricaded subjects, hostage negotiations,
mental subjects who may have gone missing, active shooters. Tactical
Communication is critical to being able to effectively communicate in high
intense Law Enforcement situations.
