BIBLICAL WORLDVIEWS ON THE JUSTICE SYSTEM 2
Introduction.
What is a Biblical World view, and should it matter to a criminal justice
professional? A biblical worldview refers to the system of principles and beliefs through
which Christians interpret the world. The Bible is the microscope through which Christians
evaluate the world. It is a guide book on how humanity should treat each other and is
therefore relevant in determining what is fair and just. There has been greater focus on a
exposing the social ills of the American Justice System. Still, very little attention has been
paid on the available reforms enunciated in the Bible for addressing the mentioned problems.
The Biblical worldview should matter to every criminal justice professional since it provides
ready solutions for creating a justice system that rehabilitates rather than harms criminal
offenders. This essay will examine how the application of Biblical principles can
revolutionize the American Criminal Justice System.
