From the beginning the website seems to be very user-friendly. The front page is very
welcoming and colorful it gives you four tabs, which are preschool, elementary, middle school,
and high school. Each one of these tabs take you to a separate page which focuses on each one’s
specific school level. On the top of the page it gives you for pull down tabs, blog, about, resources,
and contact. Each tab takes you to its designated place which helps you navigate the website.
The overview of this website is said on the “phase project”, which states: “It is a
collaborative, ongoing, effort assembling classic and innovative research, with practical
application.” It’s basically saying each level of an adolescent’s life is a different phase they will go
through in life. This website lets you buy curriculum to help you understand, expect and prepare
do you for what’s next in your child’s life.
Kirsten Ivy is the executive director of messaging at the reThink Group (Orange), and the
director of the phase project. Kirsten uses Orange as a way to approach curriculum that is not
only engaging but also relevant and biblical. Orange is a mix between the colors yellow and red,
yellow stands for the church and red stands for Home. Kirsten utilizes it and combines the two
together to show the critical influences of the light of the church and I love of home.
There is curriculum for four different phases in a child’s life, preschool, elementary,
middle school, and high school. as I said above each tab focuses on the certain level of the
child’s life. This curriculum has the chance to impact your child at whatever level they are on.
This would be really good for more than just your own child’s learning, it would be very good
for a children’s minister or a youth minister to help guide their students in the “Orange” way.
This would be a good resource in a future ministry for me because I want to be a middle school
and/or high school minister. I understand that you don’t need a curriculum to teach middle school
and high school Ministry, but it does help guide and direct the minister. I really think this would
be a good curriculum because it’s more than just impactful for church it’s impact for for the
students home life as well.
