STRATEGIC HRD RESEARCH PROPOSAL 2
Current HRD Theory/Practice Problem
Over the years, companies have faced the question of choosing between internal and
external recruitment. Both practices have their own advantages as well as downsides. For
instance, internal recruitment is important in that it enables an organization to gain access to
personnel who are fully aware of the principles, values and the culture of an organization. It also
reduces the amount of resources which an organization may, otherwise, need to use for the entire
recruitment process (Ostwald, 2019). On the other hand, it is disadvantageous in that it reduces
the wide pool of candidates which an organization might have access to. As a result, there is the
chance of the general reduction of the potential profitability which an organization stands to
attain, which is normally brought about by external recruitment. The research proposal provides
the disadvantages of internal recruitment with the aim of showing why the practice should not be
advanced by organizations, especially, from a Christian perspective.
For the most part, Christians leading various organizations have been faced with the great
need to act in line with the expected values of their religion. Also, they have needed to apply
practices which are likely to improve the productivity of their entities (Shellenbarger, 2019). As
a result, there has been the constant need to strike a pertinent balance with respect to the
undertakings adopted by Christians. Such a balance also becomes narrow, especially, where they
fail to establish the appropriate mechanisms which they could adhere to with the aim of ensuring
that their practices are above board. For instance, seeking to apply internal recruitment would be
essential in helping to reduce on the amount of time which would be taken for the entire
recruitment process (Cappelli, 2019). It would, therefore, ease up on the process and ensure that
they advance the general practices which are conducted within the organization in a way that
does not detail any form of lapse. Such an action would, also be essential in enabling the people
STRATEGIC HRD RESEARCH PROPOSAL 3
who are already part of the organization to attain the opportunity to rise to various levels of their
interest. As a result, there is a high chance that the profitability of such individuals will increase
significantly.
On the other hand, the fact that a Christian leader fails to provide other people outside the
organization the opportunity to apply and be hired through a fair recruitment process is normally
highly compelling. It is normally an indication of the idea that the Christian leader is skewed in
line with the opportunities which he offers various people (Lemke, 2017). Such a practice, thus,
goes against the Christian values which he subscribes to. It also reduces upon the ability of the
organization to benefit from the wide talent which would, otherwise, be essential with respect to
the improvement in productivity which they are likely to create within the company (Mabey et
al., 2017). Christian leaders, therefore, need to be more candid with respect to the various
undertakings which they happen to be part of (Putter, 2019). The approach is deemed to be
significant, especially, in ensuring that the main message which is sent across by the organization
is one that professes a lot of care and concern for the various people who would be willing to be
part of it (Kessler & Kretzschmar, 2015). It would, otherwise, seek to show the general level of
commitment on the part of the organization. It will also aim to show that the organization is
highly caring. As a result, there is the need to be more supportive of the various undertakings
which it is part of.
Literature Review
Theurer et al. (2018) conducted research in which they aimed to establish the various
concepts in organizations which help to boost the branding of employers. They acted on the view
that employers have the constant need to create a better image of themselves. The action would,
therefore, enable them to develop a better image of themselves among other individuals who
STRATEGIC HRD RESEARCH PROPOSAL 4
might be interested in seeking the various opportunities from the entities involved. The
researchers established that employers normally aim to brand their organizations well through
sticking to the concept of inclusivity. The move is deemed to be highly effective with respect to
enabling many people to seek to have employment opportunities from the workplaces of the said
employers. The move is also deemed to be essential with respect to enabling other people to be
more candid in interacting with the organization. Following the positive attitude which they have
towards the organization, there is a high possibility of them seeking to be part of it to offer the
necessary services which are expected of them appropriately.
Thus, the inclusivity concept is majorly based on the idea of ensuring that the employers
recruit from outside the organization. As a result, many people outside the organization are likely
to have a positive attitude of the organization. For the most part, they are likely to be elated in
the idea that it has aimed to look further than internally within its operations. As a result, it
stands the ability to gain access to a wide level of employees who are more likely to be interested
in the various undertakings which it is part of. The approach is deemed to be highly effective
with respect to the level of relationship which an organization is likely to develop with potential
future employees.
Zhong et al. (2016) conducted a study in which they sought to establish the perception in
job engagement as well as the impeccable human resource practices which are likely to boost
upon the level of performance of the employees within. Through the utilization of the social
exchange theory, the researchers establish the view that organizations attain a high ability to
foster a better attitude among the employees where they apply external recruitment. For the most
part, such organizations are fully aware of the various challenges which are associated with
internal recruitment. Therefore, with the application of the right approaches, there is the chance
STRATEGIC HRD RESEARCH PROPOSAL 5
of the adoption of the best mechanisms which are essential in helping to handle the problem as
deemed appropriate. For instance, it would be highly essential for the organization to show other
players outside that it is largely aimed at meeting the specific needs which they have. Through
seeking to enable them to be part of the organization, there is a high chance of them seeking to
be part of the organization. They are more likely to be impressed by the idea that the
organization is highly interested in their growth.
Methot et al. (2016) establish that a mix of individuals from different backgrounds is
highly essential with respect to enabling them to play a major role in boosting the situation of an
organization. Where an organization aims to hire personnel from different backgrounds, there is
a high possibility of them working towards the realization of the goals which have been
established within. For the most part, they are likely to establish the notable challenges which are
experienced in an entity. The approach will also enable them to determine the various challenges
which are established within organizations. They are also more likely to interact with one
another as deemed appropriate. It is through the constant coordination that they are more likely
to influence one another accordingly into having the ability to create the best outcomes which are
expected of them within the organization. The approach is bound to be deemed more appropriate
for their growth.
Vandenberghe et al. (2017) detail the idea that seeking to hire from outside the
organization is important in helping to make the personnel who are part of the entity be more
committed to their job. They are bound to establish a high level of competitiveness, which is
created by various players outside the organization. To that extent, there is the chance that they
may be more willing to be part of the entity. They will seek to identify with the fact that the
organization is more committed to ensuring their continued growth. Such personnel are,
STRATEGIC HRD RESEARCH PROPOSAL 6
therefore, more likely to be supportive of the various activities which the organization is
normally involved with. They are also likely to identify with the view that the organization is
aimed at having access to highly motivated individuals who are bound to be more interested in
attaining the necessary levels of growth deemed to be desirable.
Garaus et al. (2016) detail that immense human resource models and systems need to be
applied with respect to dealing with personnel in an organization. The approach is deemed to be
highly significant in relation to enabling personnel to be highly outstanding in the various
undertakings which they are part of. The approach is also deemed to be important in enabling
employees to determine the kind of interactions which they could have with one another in a bid
to create the best change and improvement which is desirable for an organization. An
organization can, therefore, help ensure that the best findings are attained through seeking to
recruit personnel from outside. The action seeks to enable the employees to have a wide pool of
people whom they can seek to interact with continually. The approach is deemed to be highly
significant in relation to enabling the personnel to establish the specific challenges which they
experience in their practice and, thereby, attain the necessary levels of improvement which are
deemed to be highly desirable. The action is also deemed to be highly appropriate in the process
of sharing the necessary information amongst the personnel of interest. The move is deemed to
be highly significant with respect to enabling the personnel to seek to be highly supportive
towards one another as deemed appropriate.
Research Methodology
The researcher will apply a qualitative research methodology. The aim will be to capture
pertinent insights which relate to internal recruitment. As a result, it will seek to detail the
various advantages and disadvantages associated with the practice. The information obtained
STRATEGIC HRD RESEARCH PROPOSAL 7
from the study will also be significant in emphasizing why organizations need to shy away from
internal recruitment, owing to the various tenets it has which as inconsistent with the general
Christian practice. Such a move will, therefore, be essential in ensuring that organizations are
highly outstanding in relation to the specific undertakings which they are involved in and are part
of. The approach will be deemed to be essential and ensure that the organization attains the
ability to boost on the levels of performance which it has. Such an approach will also be highly
significant, especially in relation to the impact which it had on various people who seek to be
part of it.
Qualitative research is important in that it enables researchers to gain valid information
which can be synthesized and properly understood, especially in context with the research
question. The outcome of the situation is that there is a high possibility of the best outcomes
being attained. It is also essential in ensuring that the data which is obtained regarding the
subject matter is appropriate as at the given point in time. As a result, there is a high chance of
the necessary conclusions being made regarding the issue in question.
The researcher will apply a meta-analytical review of pertinent data related to the

access to the relevant data, which helps to provide answers to the question. The use of the
approach is highly essential, owing to the fact that it is likely to yields varying forms of data
which are likely to show a wide level of perspective touching on the concept under research. As
a result, there is a high possibility of showing the necessary improvements which need to be
adopted in light with the practices advanced by the organization. Such an approach is, therefore,
deemed to be highly essential, especially in light with the undertakings adopted by an
organization. Through the process, there is the ease of adopting measures which are in direct
STRATEGIC HRD RESEARCH PROPOSAL 8
agreement with the expected practices which are part of the Christian tenets. The approach is
also deemed to be highly significant, especially in relation to ensuring that a high level of change
and improvement is attained. Such an approach is also essential with respect to ensuring that an
organization becomes highly outstanding in the various undertakings which it is part of. The
approach is also important in enabling the organization to be candid in the adoption of the
necessary Christian principles which will be pertinent towards ensuring its continued growth.
The researcher will obtain the necessary data from credible sources. These include
journal articles and magazine articles. The use of credible sources of data is highly essential. It
enables the researcher to attain a proper understanding of the subject under study. Also, it
enables the researcher to obtain data which is both valid and reliable. As a result, the data

conclusions from the process. Such an action is deemed to be highly essential in ensuring that the
research question is highly characterized.
The inclusion criteria applied for the study will be all material which was published
within the last five years. The action will help to ensure that the data which is obtained is
relevant to the current times. Such data is bound to be essential in providing answers to the
pertinent research questions established. Also, such data is likely to be appropriate in relation to
ensuring that the specific questions touching on internal recruitment are highly addressed. It
seeks to ensure that the various questions touching on the issues are handled well. As a result,
there is a high possibility of influencing a high level of positivity, especially, in relation to the
approaches which can be undertaken with respect to enabling organizations to benefit immensely
from a recruitment process.
STRATEGIC HRD RESEARCH PROPOSAL 9
The researcher will apply the qualitative analysis method to attain a proper
characterization of the information touching on the subject matter. The qualitative analysis
method will pertain to developing the necessary themes which touch on the subject matter.
Further, the researcher will discuss the findings obtained from the study based on the themes
which have been obtained. The approach will, therefore, be highly significant, especially, in
relation to ensuring that they play a major part in the provision of the necessary conclusions. It

The proposed research project is likely to bear a huge impact on the entire process of
recruitment. It is more likely to showcase the appropriate mechanisms which can be applied to
ensure that employers become more willing to apply Christian principles throughout the entire
process of recruitment. For the most part, the employers are likely to identify with the idea that
the organization is more focused on enabling them to attain a positive interaction with it. The
approach is also deemed to be highly significant, especially in relation to the specific
mechanisms which can be applied to boost the level of perception which personnel are likely to
have with its operations. An organization is also more likely to establish the various change
models which are likely to boost the general interactions which the employees normally have
with one another within the organizations.
The research project will also provide pertinent insights on the specific approaches which
organizations need to adhere to in the process of hiring the necessary personnel. The approach is
aimed at ensuring that an organization attains the chance to hire employees who are highly
motivated and keener on providing the necessary services which are desired of them. The
insights obtained are deemed to be highly significant, especially in relation to showing the best
approaches which can be utilized in the quest for HRD practice. Owing to the fact that the
practice is constantly evolving, there is the need to establish the relevant mechanisms which can
be used in advancing the main goals of an organization. Such an approach is bound to be highly
STRATEGIC HRD RESEARCH PROPOSAL 11
effective in relation to boosting the levels of effectiveness which can be attained eventually.
Also, the move is deemed to be highly significant in terms of showcasing the necessary
methodologies which can help to boost the position of the organization.
Envisioned Impact on God’s World
The proposed project is more likely to bear a huge impact on the unfolding nature of
God’s word. The project is likely to showcase the importance of employers being more aligned
with the concept of inclusivity. It is through the process of inclusivity that they are likely to
improve the general image of God and Christianity in their practice. They are more likely to
make more people warm up to the idea of being part of the organization as well as follow
through the values of Christianity (Keller, 2012). For the most part, much value normally lies in
ensuring that many people attain equal chances of being part of an organization. The approach is
deemed to be highly effective, especially, in terms of making the necessary personnel identify
the specific practices which they could seek to be part of. The approach is also deemed to be
more effective, especially in terms of improving the level of perception which employees are
likely to have regarding an organization.
Through employers seeking to abide by the virtues of inclusivity in their practice, there is
a high chance of them completing the full fabric of their Christian practice. They are more likely
to impress others based on the specific practices which they are part of (Keller, 2012). The
approach is deemed to be highly effective, especially, in light with enabling the Christian
employers to participate actively into advancing the affairs of the various organizations which
they are in charge of (Hardy, 1990). Also, the approach is highly essential in enabling the
employers to establish the various other mechanisms which they could seek to be part of in a bid
to improve upon the chances of the best outcomes being attained in their practice. Such an
STRATEGIC HRD RESEARCH PROPOSAL 12
approach is deemed to be highly effective in terms of showing the specific levels of
improvement, which can be relied upon as deemed appropriate.
The project is more likely to show people about the nature of God’s word. For the most
part, there is a high possibility of people who are taken into various employment opportunities
identifying with the various practices which are entailed within (Hardy, 1990). The action is
deemed to be highly essential, especially with respect to the various practices which are aimed at
ensuring that the necessary growth is attained (Keller, 2012). The model is also deemed to be
effective, especially, in terms of the improvement in the level of perception which employees are
likely to have on the organization. As a result, there is a high chance that such views are more
likely to improve the image which the employer has had in the organization. Through such an
extent, there is a high possibility of the various personnel attaining a positive idea, especially in
light with the activities which have been undertaken. Such an approach is also deemed to be
highly essential, especially, with respect to the various mechanisms which can be applied to
enable the employees to fell part of the organization.
The proposed project is, therefore, more likely to show the importance of organizations
being keen on ensuring that they act towards adding value to the lives of others. Through having
constant interactions with the various employees which they hire, organizations are more likely
to establish the best mechanisms which can be applied to improve on their effectiveness.
Organizations are more likely to establish the fact that employees seek to be part of them with
the need to ensure that they attain the levels of growth which are desirable of them. As a result,
they are bound to be keen on providing the new employees with the necessary training which
they need in their practice. As a result, there is a high chance of improvement being attained
within the practice of employees. Also, such personnel are more likely to be keen on interacting
STRATEGIC HRD RESEARCH PROPOSAL 13
with one another as deemed appropriate. It is through the process that they are bound to boost on
their skills levels.
The project is also essential in that it will showcase the importance of employees seeking
to acknowledge the diversity of others. For the most part, they are likely to identify with the idea
that other people are equally an important part of the organization. Therefore, they need to be
more committed to interacting with them as deemed appropriate (Mello, 2019). It is through such
an approach that they are likely to improve the interactions which they normally have with one
another. For the most part, there is the possibility that such individuals will be more focused on
ensuring that the organization attains the necessary levels of growth deemed to be highly
desirable (Mello, 2019). The approach is also deemed to be essential in improving the ability of
the personnel to be more innovative in their practice. The approach is more bound to orient them
to the necessary practices which are aligned to boosting the levels of profitability, which are
deemed to be highly desirable.
Where organizations establish the value of research, especially, one which is geared
towards boosting the capabilities of the employees, there is a high possibility that they will be
aimed at ensuring their continued growth (Hardy, 1990). The approach will also enable the
organizations to establish the necessary improvements which can be applied, especially, in
relation to boosting upon the level of perception which employees have regarding the
organizations which they are part of. They will also be more aligned towards meeting the various
expectations which are put upon them (Mello, 2019). For instance, there is a high possibility of
the employees hired seeking to act in a manner which aligns with the general culture of the
organization in question. For the most part, they are more likely to be interested in meeting the
STRATEGIC HRD RESEARCH PROPOSAL 14
expectations which have been put upon them. The approach is deemed to be highly significant
towards boosting their position as deemed appropriate.
Conclusion
The research project seeks to establish the disadvantages of internal recruitment. It seeks
to establish the Christian perspective, which aligns to the concept of external hiring and the
benefits which it is likely to provide. Such information will enable leaders of organizations to be
more effective in the specific undertakings which they are part of. The study seeks to use
qualitative research methods. The study will also entail obtaining data from secondary sources.
Such sources will need to be credible with the need to ensure that the information obtained is
valid and reliable. The use of the meta-analytical review of data will be essential in capturing
varying views pertaining to the concept under study. The researcher will include material which
were published in the last five years.
