Great job this week on your discussion board. You offered your reader a tremendous amount of
information to help us grasp your ideas. All the laws presented to us this week are essential.
However, I also choose to discuss the ADEA. This week I learned that a significant component
of employment law is the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) attempts to safeguard
workers 40 years of age or older against age-based discrimination (McConnell, 2019, pp 40). The
ADEA guarantees that individuals are assessed and dealt with based on their abilities,
credentials, and performance instead of age. This contrasts with the previous practice, which
evaluated and treated persons based on age. It bans companies from making discriminatory
decisions that could reduce the job opportunities available to workers of a particular age group.
The ADEA helps foster a more diverse and inclusive workforce since it emphasizes the
importance of fairness (Zafar & Von, 2020). Prejudices and stereotypes based on age might
diminish the importance and achievements of older workers. By outlawing age-based
discrimination on the part of employers, the ADEA works to challenge and overcome these
prejudices (Neumark, 2022). The variety of skills and knowledge that older staff members bring
are acknowledged. The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) prohibits
discriminatory acts at every stage of the employment process to protect older workers' rights. It
addresses a wide range of topics, including recruiting, firing, promotions, job assignments,
training, benefits, and pay, among other things (Farmer, 2019). The Age Discrimination in
Employment Act (ADEA) allows older workers to express their rights and seek remedies if they
are discriminated against. The ADEA makes it easier for people of a certain age to participate in
the workforce, allowing businesses and society to use the knowledge and experience that these
persons possess. The Age Discrimination in the Workplace Act (ADEA) seeks to eliminate age
discrimination by fostering an atmosphere where workers of varying ages can productively
collaborate.
"For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward
his name, in that, ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister" (King James Bible,
2017/1769, Hebrews 6:10). God is of love and cares for his creations. He will always try to
comfort us and strengthen us. He will do this as much as he possibly can. As a result, this is also
why we see many people who desire to serve.
"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated,
full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy" (King James Bible,
2017/1769, James 3:17). We as believers have to be utterly devoted to God and the practices that
He teaches. Additionally, we need a heart that stays focused and grounded in God's word.

Great job this week; I enjoyed reading your discussion board. All laws impact the workforce, but
I choose to discuss the ADEA. The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) allows
older workers to express their rights and seek remedies if they are discriminated against
(McConnell, 2019, pp 40). The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) prohibits
discriminatory acts at every stage of the employment process to protect older workers' rights. It
addresses a wide range of topics, including recruiting, firing, promotions, job assignments,
training, benefits, and pay, among other things. The ADEA's importance will only grow as the
population of numerous countries, including the United States, ages. It recognizes the evolving
demographics and guarantees that older people are not disadvantaged or excluded from
employment chances based purely on their age (Neumark, 2022). It ensures that older workers
are included in employment possibilities. The Age Discrimination in the Workplace Act (ADEA)
helps create a more welcoming and harmonious workplace for employees of all ages,
encouraging the exchange of information and the development of new ideas (Farmer, 2019). An
organization's policies can extend coverage to include other characteristics not expressly covered
by the legislation. Even though they are not mandated by law, certain aspects of a person's
identity, such as their sexuality, gender identity, or religious views, may be protected by the rules
of their respective employers. These aspects include sexual orientation, gender identity, and
religious beliefs. This measure addresses potential loopholes in legal protection while
demonstrating the organization's dedication to diversity (Drydakis et al., 2022).
"He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh
a city" (King James Bible, 2017/1769, Proverbs 16:32). The ability to remain calm under
pressure is a sign of strength. Those who can control their anger better are more capable of
wielding power, influence, and strength. The one who has command of his emotions, who can
keep his anger in check and does not allow his feelings of rage to boil over, is superior to the
conqueror of a city.
"Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in
his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass" (King James Bible,
2017/1769, Psalm 37:7). A spirit that is restless and never satisfied leaves itself vulnerable to a
variety of temptations. Because the wealth that is given to the righteous, even if it is only a tiny
amount, is in every way superior to the wealth that is obtained dishonestly and is utilized
irresponsibly by persons who do not fear God. It was made by a hand that had an outstanding
amount of affection.
