Topic of Interest
The breach of contracts within the field of photography businesses. What to do when a
contract is breached, and the client is at fault.
Problem Statement
The purpose of this study is to pinpoint the main problems and solutions surrounding
contract violations in the area of photographic research, with a focus on how to establish an
environment where this won't occur with other clients in the future.
Despite the fact that photography services are marketed as a luxury item, many
photographers are frequently exploited through contract violations. Contracts between clients
and photographers who provide wedding services are common. In many cases, clients will
unintentionally breach the contract, leaving the photographer with a problem that must be
resolved through additional consultations. Photographers are often caught in the question of
whether it is morally and legally right to continue to work with clients who breach a contract,
even if it is unintentional or not. When a photographer is faced with a breach of contract, it is
difficult to know how to proceed with the clients, just as it is in any other business. Do
photographers set boundaries and more detailed rules in their contracts so that they are not taken
advantage of?
By the completion of this study, it is envisaged that the priorities and obstacles in
connection to contract violations and the photography industry will be more clearly identified.
