Chapter 20 Question 7
The presentation given by Henry and Associates was a research based Web-delivered
presentation performed for MindWriter. A Web delivered presentation involves the use of a
Web presentation platform, a presenter who remotely controls the delivery of the presentation
visual aids to the computers of their audience while they speak to them via computer or a
controlled access phone line, and the audience is attending from their office or other location
(Cooper & Schindler 2014).
The main purpose of Henry and Associates research presentation for Mindwriters was to
bring awareness to areas in their business which need Improving to increase customer
satisfaction. Prior to the web based briefing, all pertinent information discussed within the
presentation was emailed to each member present for the presentation. The technical aspects
of a research presentation are as important as the content of the paper. When giving an oral
presentation, the use of visual aids such as slides, transparencies and/or handouts, can greatly
enhance the presentation (Rogers, 1990). The briefing specifically pointed out the areas that
customers seem to be most dissatisfied with. As part of the research process, Sara used a
question and answer tool to obtain information prior to compiling the reports. The question and
answer was obtained from each member of MindWriters and was put together to see where
each members priorities lie. The biggest issue came from damage obtained during shipments,
this in turn means that MindWriter needs to be more aggressive with courier contracts and
ensuring the products arrive to their destination damage free.
