Yvette, I enjoyed reading your post on the valuation factors. Due to the sensitivity that numerous
internal and external influences might have, company values and stock prices can change
rapidly. These elements may have short-term or long-term effects on a company's valuation and
stock price. It is necessary to assess the state of the industry overall to see whether there are any
patterns or general signs of development or decline (Brealey et al., 2019). Taking into account
current market trends, as well as projected future developments, this will provide a solid
evaluation of the firm valuation. The state of the economy, political unpredictability, the impact of
social media, and gossip are some more external factors. A growing body of research examines
the possible country-specific economic, capital market, legal/political, and accounting regime
issues to determine how they may contribute to differences in the content and timeliness of
financial statements as well as in how they are used to value equities (Bushman & Piotroski,
2006). The financial performance of a firm is used by shareholders to estimate its value. Positive
share price movement might result from corporate profitability and the capacity to outperform
Wall Street forecasts. The distribution of profits to shareholders in the form of dividends can also
increase stock values. Value might decrease as a result of unanticipated losses or missed revenue
or profit goals (Garcia, 2021). In the Bible the verse, “In this way they will lay up treasure for
themselvesas a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold ofthe life that is
truly life (New Living Translation, 1973/2011, 1 Timothy 6:19). According to the verse if a
corporation builds a solid valuation and has a good stock price, it will eventually have a successful
business.
