work to date!
Introduction
As we have been learning, there are many internal and external influences on the
administration of healthcare. These can work together at times, but at others they counteract each
other. Through establishing an understanding of the history of healthcare and understanding how
it has evolved over the years, an administrator can work with his/her organization to administer
easily accessible care at an affordable cost.

Government and Healthcare Policy and Regulation
Your assessment of Socio-Economic factors and Technological advancements is thorough
and well supported by text and studies! I love how you focused widely on the two different
aspects of policy and regulation. The mistake can be made in which a patient accuses either the
provider or the insurance company of inefficiently administering care. It is important to notice,
as your Jones source points out, that there is a delicate balance between the way the government
creates policies such as the Affordable Care Act, and the implementation of it by the provider.
The goal of the ACA in fact,was to minimize costs to patients; however, due to say, the evidence
of an excise tax of 2.3% placed on medical devices that is implemented initially by the
manufacturer, but ultimately drives up the cost of care when the patient makes the purchase of
the device (Shi & Singh 2018), this Act has not reached its main goal. What do you think could
aid these two organizations that make policy and regulation guidelines in being able to draw
policy that benefits both patient and provider?
Quality Care
Since Americans value Quality Care, it has become a goal of the provider to give that
level of care. I love how Jones pinpoints that personal care plans have become more valued in
healthcare, but creates a contrast in the disparities of Healthcare due to demographics. I believe
that though demographics have been a major issue in the past, they are becoming less
problematic. I do also believe that these disparities affect a majority of people, and hope that
policy makers can figure out a way to perhaps implement the segments of our policy that have
worked, with some of those from other countries. Do you think this is possible, according to
research?
