1. Introduction
a. Kuwait is a country in the middle east that is located between Saudi Arabia and
Irag.
b. Kuwait is known for gaining its wealth from being the its oil refineries (Sadek,
Crystal, Anthony, & Ochsenwald, 2022).
c. Thesis Statement- How does cultural diversity training affect the impact on global
projects in Kuwait.
2. Body
a. Kuwaiti environmental considerations
i. Government and society
ii. Kuwait has a population of 4 million and covers almost sq miles. It is
governed by emirate or Emir, which is typically a title given to monarch or
high office official in a Muslim ruled territory.
iii. The president is Amir Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah has reigned in
Kuwait since 30 September 2020 when Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-
Sabah died (Global Insights, 2022).
b. Culture
i. Kuwait is a melting pot nation and two-thirds of the population is
expatriate workers from Southeast Asia (Sadek, Crystal, Anthony, &
Ochsenwald, 2022).
ii. Embraces any aspects of the western culture, It is an Arab-Islamic nation
and remain very conservative (Sadek, Crystal, Anthony, &
Ochsenwald, 2022).
c. Global project considerations
i. Global outsourcing is slowly becoming more of a common business and
studies show that U.S. Corporations are spending billions of dollars
outsourcing resources and services (Anantatmula & Thomas, 2008)
ii. Teams need to pay attention to cultural differences that can have effects on
communication (Anantatmula & Thomas, 2008)
iii. Multicultural Teams can increase the level of innovation by using different
techniques to collect and gather ideas (Binder, 2009).
d. Biblical integration
i. Romans 14:10- Why do you pass judgement on your brother? Or you, why
do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgement
seat of God (ESV).
3. Conclusion
a. I will restate the research that was found showed that cultural diversity training is
a substantial for global projects. Training needs to be done to make sure that
everyone is aware of the culture of the country that the project is going to be
working in.

issues of the area where their project is being conducted.

Kuwait. This is beneficial when trying to figure out how to start a cultural diversity
training program to teams during an international project. A project manager needs to
know these things so there is no disrespect that could cause a project to go south.

section talks about what the culture is of a country. This is important because sometimes
a culture is hard to define when instructing people about another country. The authors
clearly describe how a culture is different and how people need to adapt and transform to
the physical, biological and their surroundings. Through these surroundings people learn
to adapt to their surrounding which makes up their culture.

leads an International Project. It is used during our learning in BUSI416. It gives the
framework and the project basics to deal with an international project. This book is an
asset to help gain the basic knowledge and skills for a project manager.
McGraw-Hill . (2020). Leading Global Projects. McGraw-Hill, Inc. This book talks about
leading projects in a global capacity. We use this book throughout our learning in
BUSI416. It teaches the fundamentals about how project teams work in a global
environment. International projects have multiple different environmental and learning
the basics will help a project manager.
Ramburuth, P., & Welch, C. (2005). Educating the Global Manager: Cultural Diversity and
Cross-Cultural Training in International Business Education. Journal of Teaching in

article talks about the lack of cultural diversity and cross-cultural training that is provided
to students and that there is a lack of interactions between different cultural groups. The
article suggests that cross-cultural competencies can be taught and include cultural
awareness and sensitivity training as well as training on other cultures values, normal
behaviors and beliefs. This is beneficial for a project manager because there are proven
areas that need to be covered for a successful diversity training. While not everyone will
be fully trained in all areas of another culture, there should be sufficient training to hit the
main areas.

schools who reference verifiable facts. This section is viable in this research because it
talks about the history, culture, economy, government, and society of Kuwait. Knowing
all of the aspects will help a project manager understand the cultural differences that
could affect a team working in this country
