Definition
Leadership is stimulating people to be high performers by motivating and
communicating with employees individually and in groups while maintaining contact with
people, and guiding and inspiring them to achieve team and organizational goals
(Bateman & Konopaske, 2022, p. 9).
Summary
Cheryl E. Gray is the corresponding author in the article titled “How Can
Organizational Leaders Help? Examining the Effectiveness of Leaders' Support During
a Crisis” in the (2022) which investigates the Journal of Business and Psychology
effectiveness of leaders in creating an impact on their employees during a crisis. The
article includes two studies demonstrating that existing research has not fully uncovered
the characteristics of support attempts that influence their efficacy. However, it shows
that social support is not always beneficial in assisting workers in coping with stress.
The authors examine the effectiveness of corporate leaders' crisis assistance initiatives
using a mix of methodologies. Employees in the first study recounted the steps their
superiors took to help them amid a global pandemic. The second study employed a
quantitative methodology to show that employee burnout and physical symptoms were
reduced by the leadership behaviors that employees rated as beneficial in the first
study. These studies examine how employees view their leaders' assistance during a

Discussion
Research on leadership has been done by many experts globally. Leadership is
the ability to encourage, influence, and assist others in fostering positive organizational
