COMPONENTS OF ANALYTICS DRIVEN
Abstract
In the workplace today, there are many things that revolve around artificial intelligence and data
analytics to provide a method for making decisions. There are many different aspects available to
companies to help with making decisions, but technology will not be beneficial without the
necessary people in place. People are essential to the analytics process, which includes how they
are used. There are many aspects and dynamics that go into the analytics driven culture. With the
data analytics, the employees will take the information and create decisions out of the data they
receive. Christian leaders will see how mentorship and fostering a positive culture in the
workplace will lead to success for the company and the people involved. Leaders and Christian
leaders should always focus on others and how to ensure they are not only supported, but
improving their skills on a daily basis.

COMPONENTS OF ANALYTICS DRIVEN
Components of Analytics Driven
In a company, when a culture is focused on being analytics driven, it is wanting to make
sure that the data analytics is being used every day in the company to make decisions no matter
what situation is at hand. The impact that data analytics can have on a company and how they
structure its framework can show how the data analytics needs to be grown and used more in
every aspect of the company to enable the leadership to make better and more informed
decisions for future success in the company (Bartlett, 2013). For a company to use the data
analytics to their advantage, they need to combine the data analytics with the industry knowledge
they have to make informed and sound decisions for the company and its future successes. When
an
organizational culture directed towards sharing and exchanging knowledge within a firm
among all organizational units and data-based decision-making (Ennouri and Mezghani,
2021). DDC allows employees inside the firm to take advantage of data outside the firm
and transform it into useful information for the decision-making process as well as to
develop innovations. (Al-Khatib, 2022, p. 1027)
All employees within a company have a role in the way a company chooses to make and
implement changes. When the company starts to use the industry knowledge and data analytics
to make plans and to make changes, all individuals need to assist with that transition process.
The way true change can be achieves is only come from the data analytics, industry knowledge
and the employees wanting to help with implementing the progress.
Analytics
Within a company there are many different perspectives on experiences, beliefs, status
and more that have an impact on how someone can look at something or act toward something
COMPONENTS OF ANALYTICS DRIVEN
within the company. With the ways the corporate world has changed and advanced in many
areas, technology has grown significantly along with the environment business takes place. Due
to those advancements, there are new barriers and challenges that need to be navigated in the
corporate world. Companies have adapted to new ways to analyze the data that was no longer
needed or was no longer serving the company in a profitable way. Organization then shifted to
more productive and profitable ways to conduct business. In the corporate world, there is a shift
to depend on artificial intelligence to provide the data analytics to be used in order to move the
company forward. With the new use of artificial intelligence, it also makes processing of the
analytic data easier and faster to processes.
When a company uses artificial intelligence for the way they look at their data analytics,
they are able to see how the company uses machine learning. Machine learning is "a computer
program or system that can learn specific tasks such as discrimination or classification without
being explicitly programmed to do so" (Ahmed & Khan Pathan, 2019). The most important thing
in the definition that Ahmed & Khan Pathan provides businesses is the word learning. The
machine learning looks at the complete data picture, and it (along with artificial intelligence), can
lead to decision making. Because companies are using artificial intelligence, it provides the
company the capability to analyze a large amount of the information to see what patterns are
established or starting with their customers, and this also gives the company the ability to make
timely decisions in their plans.
When discussing analytics, people often think of it as only a data analyzation. However,
it is more sophisticated than just data that goes into data analytics. The intricate procedure that is
used to make decisions within a company using the analyzing data is a mix of habits, trends,
experiences, likes, dislikes and others unique aspects that go into the decisions for course

correction or adding to what things are going well. It is not merely numbers but other aspects as
well. All of this data analytics provides companies the chance to make the necessary
improvements before it is too late by allowing them to know who their customers are and how
those customers behave. With "big data and predictive analytics capability have positive impact
on supply chain and organizational performance" (Dubey et al., 2019, p. 2097). There is no
downside to embracing analytics within a company. For a company to evolve, they need to
continuously be evaluating the data and how they are using the data within the company. Every
company is different and will not use the data analytics in the same way. Data analytics needs to
be customized for each company and each situation. In addition to catering it to the organization,
it also needs to be done to use the information in the best way in the decision-making process.
One method to manage how the data analytics are used is in a project management style.
Project Management
When implementing project management in data analytics decision making strategy, it
can help the business stay on track with what the end result they are wanting. Project
management uses "current practices, norms, values, and power structure are recombined and
amended in a purposeful way, which needs an effective control mechanism to deliver it"
(Badewi, 2022, p. 135). Project management can be used in all kinds of areas, such as school,
work, and home life. Rather than changing what it is used for, it changes how it is used.
However, ultimately, it can aid in decision making. Project management can be used in many
different forms depending on the situation and the decisions that need to be made. When a
business begins with project management, they need to have the goals in mind first and know
what data they will need. From there, the leaders will make objectives and processes to achieve
the goals and create forward movement for the company.
COMPONENTS OF ANALYTICS DRIVEN
Body of Knowledge
The project management body of knowledge is also known as PMBOK. It is a group of
methodologies, procedures, words and approaches that are the norm for project management. "It
also includes practical examples of application within various contexts and industry segments.
PMIstandards+ evolved in response to advances and changes in how projects can be delivered"
(Project Management Institute, 2021). The project management body of knowledge provides
criteria and procedures for reaching the goals of the company. Leadership needs to have a crucial
function in the project management body of knowledge for every step of the project management
process because it gives the standard for what to do. The PMBOK is a beneficial process for
companies to use to make sure they are keeping current with the industry and reaching the goals
the company is wanting.
Agile
Project management using the agile method is a style that would be good for the industry
of software and technology. The method of agile has a focus on the stakeholders. One study also
highlights that teamwork is an aspect of agile project management. The study noted that when
teamwork is used with agile project management, there are more favorable outcomes produced
(Agbejule & Lehtineva, 2022). The agile project management approach is between people. There
needs to be strong communication with the stakeholders throughout the project. The agile project
management looks at the customer stakeholders. This approach encourages inventiveness with
productivity by giving feedback continuously throughout the project (Agbejule & Lehtineva,
2022). Because teamwork is used in the agile project management approach, the approach can be
changed as the organization proceeds and looks at the demands that are needed in order to

produce the best outcomes. The relationship with all the stakeholders is essential to be able to
provide the necessary flexibility to the project management and move the company forward.
Christian Integration
Leadership, especially Christian leaders, will have a hand in analytics and how they will
be used in projects and companies everywhere. Christians should want to make sure they are
doing the best job they can by making sure they have all the things they need, like tools, data
software and others in order to succeed. In addition, Christians should be making sure that all
that needs to be included in decision making and project management will be included. This
gives the opportunity for the best outcomes when all the right people are included. Also is is
important that Christians make sure the circumstances they are asking people to work in are
validating, providing opportunities for growth and a supportive atmosphere. Leaders should be
managing the data analytics and know how they are going handle it. A Christian leader needs to
also provide upright guidance and provide the support the team member needs. Christian leaders
should want to see their employees excel and have the knowledge of how to use data analytics to
serve their employers and make good decisions.
To have a practical analytic driven culture, there need to be people invovled. Leaders
need to bring the group together. Christians should have the desire to have the best people in that
group to get the best outcomes. These people need to be the right and best for the knowledge
outcome even if they would not be their first thought or choice by others. Christian leaders need
to look past any stereotypes, rumors, or bias and place the right people in the right places. The
numbers are provided by the data analytics, and the employees are the human perspective, and
together, they make a culture that is needed for the success of the company. Having good morals
is something that should be expected from a Christian leader. A Christian leader should use those
COMPONENTS OF ANALYTICS DRIVEN
morals to lead their teams and make sure the culture is thriving. Human behaviors will always
have some faults or errors and it may impact other people or dynamics around them, however,
the Christian leader should try to mitigate those situations to the best of their ability to ensure a
productive and uplifting culture remains consistent for the data analytics. Artificial intelligence
often will be used to make the data analytics and its calculations, but when it comes time to make
the decisions, that will be left up to imperfect humans. "Machine learning (ML) has exhibited its
practicability, reliability, and high efficiency in numerous applications; furthermore, it has solved
conventional and emerging problems" (Huang et al., 2021, p. 1). People need to use the
information that is provided by machine learning and data analytics to make sure the money
spent on getting the data is used well.
Biblical Perspective and Mentoring
When it comes to data analytics, it cannot just be left to the leaders to handle. The leaders
need to be building their employees to understand it as well through mentorship. Christians
should always be looking to help others to succeed and learn new skills to help them in the
future. Mentorship is an obligation once it starts it cannot be a passing thing. There needs to be
an intention to help develop and expand their knowledge for placements they will have in the
future, even if it is not within the same company. That is where the Christian leader aspect comes
in. A Christian leader will help even if that means the skills they are sharing with an employee
translate to them leaving the company for other employment. Leaders and Christians should
focus on bettering the person, even if it may or may not help the company. "So encourage each
other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. Dear brothers and sisters, honor
those who are your leaders in the Lord's work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual
guidance" (1 Thessalonians 5:11 -12, New Living Translation). Christian leaders want to see
COMPONENTS OF ANALYTICS DRIVEN
those they are leading or mentoring succeed in all areas of life, even the workplace. Then others
see a Christian leader and how to lead by example. "Mentor satisfaction increased when
perceived benefits matched their initial motivations, although correspondence was not associated
with intentions to mentor again" (Teye & Peaslee, 2020, p. 1042). Leadership should ensure that
they are matching the right people together and the right goals together to have positive
outcomes. In the end, mentorship is good for everyone and there are learning outcomes for
everyone.
Conclusion
Data and people are important parts of the culture of driven analytics. The culture in the
company and the projects they are working on are always conditional because of the people that
are working on them. Those projects are being run by imperfect people, typically with good
intentions. The company cannot run on data alone; they need people–employees. There has been
a lot of progress with the technologies that companies use and new technologies coming to
market as well. New technology is great for companies, but they will always need people to
understand the data and implement it. The combination of the data, technology, leadership and
employees is what dictates if a business will be successful. The teamwork that the leadership
fosters is also an essential part of the success of the company. Ensuring that the right people are
put together for success is vital for the goals of the company.
As Christian leaders, others need to be looked after first. Leaders need to be connecting
the right people because of their skills, capabilities, motivation and drive. Leaders do this
because it is the right thing to do and not because they could receive a promotion, rather they
focus on achieving the best outcome(s). Making decisions within a company with human input
and the analytic data is something that is done daily. The Christian leader will see those that are
COMPONENTS OF ANALYTICS DRIVEN
exemplary in their fields and mentor them to become better. Leaders will want the people they
are leading to gain more skills than they started with. This style of leadership is one that others
want to copy and emulate.
