Data Collection and Software
Data collection
In the current business world, data is very essential even more than gold. Data enables a
business to make decisions that are smart and ensure that the organization thrives in a
competitive environment. Collection of data is done to estimate population values including
totals, variance, and mean. Also, the population of interest should be defined so as to have a
successful project. There are two types of data that are collected and these are, passively
collected data and actively collected data. Approaches for active data collection include
Anecdotal Sampling, Simulation, Design of Samples (DoS), Census Taking, and Design of
Experiments (DoE). Randomization is used in the cases where data biasness needs to be avoided
during data collection (Bartlett, 2013).. Most data is naturally observational and sensual and
observational data plays a crucial role in business analytics every organization should ensure that
they take good care of their data.
Sampling
Anecdotal samples are the most effective way of data samples collection because there is
no use of randomization. To have an anecdotal sample, choices that are most common are the
Quota samples and Expert choice. Moreover, the design sample of data estimates an interval
around a population value. There are two basic sample designs which include, Systematic
Sampling and Simple Random Sampling. To identify the relationship between cause and effect,
there is the use of the design of experiments as a primary tool.

Software analytics ensures that five purposes are fulfilled and these include, data
analysis, data collection, monitoring of values, data processing, and presentation results. For this
data to be analyzed, various statistical tools should be used which include, procedural
programming software packages, graphic user interface, programming languages, and menu-
driven software packages. Each company needs to maintain a software infrastructure so as to
meet its needs (Ahmed & Pathan, 2018). Thus, if the software is well maintained, the cost that is
spent on it will be an investment.
Data management
Data should be properly managed so as to get results that are pleasing and excellent. The
creation of effective data needs work that is if great deal while performed at hand. Data
management is essential because it helps in improving the data and generate data for describing
it. Automation is also essential in data analysis. Data analysis is important because it ensures
improvements are done to customer relationship management (Ma et al., 2017). Management of
data involves managing data as a resource that is valuable to the organization. For the data to be
effectively managed, there should be reliable access methods, having data strategy and efficient
integration n and storage methods and proportion for analytics. The value of data depends on
what you want to do with it.
Biblical integration
As mentioned in the bible, God wants Christians to be very much organized and ensure
that they live a life that is pleasing to Him (Merida, 2015). In Luke 14:28 it is stated that “For
which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has

enough to complete it?” This indicates that for one to have to analyze data, they should select the
best collection and sampling methods for that particular data. If the collection, sampling methods
are good and the data is well analyzed, then management will automatically be good. Making
decisions will also be easier and better decisions would also be made in the organization.
