The development of healthcare organizations can be inhibited through inappropriate data
gathering. The impact of improper data gathering could lead a healthcare organization to
encounter barriers that prevent immediate and long-term growth and development. The ability to
leverage accurate data supports appropriate guidance when making decisions. Efficient and
effective data collection that encounters an integral quality review process is instrumental to
businesses making decisions in the organization's best interest. Understanding the consequences
of impaired data can cause detrimental outcomes for the organization. Leaders who hold close to
their practice high ethical and moral traditions that contain Christian principles lean into data
collection that is appropriate, highly reliable, and supportive. Fully embracing Christian
leadership principles leads organizations to have improved outcomes based on the decisions
these leaders make. As described in this document, the analysis and correlation of appropriate
data gathering can support and enhance healthcare leaders' decisions.

The leader's decision for their healthcare organization is instrumental to their success and
failure. When faced with questionable data, Christian leaders who can think strategically when
deciding can overcome poor outcomes. To have the best chance of making the right
organizational decision, the data collected must be valid, highly reliable, and quality checked to
ensure that whatever process to decide is underway, the decision-making process is correct. A
healthcare organization's Christian leadership relies on high-quality data through superior
collection models to ensure that the decisions made are reliable and reflect the best outcomes for
the organization to prevent failure.
Outside healthcare organizations, successful businesses ensure efficient and effective
processes are in place to ensure that the data gathered is relevant and promotes high quality and
consistency to achieve the best outcomes. Christian leaders who utilize their biblical principles
are instrumental in providing high-quality data collected and attaining highly reliable results. The
accurate information gathered through data analysis is based on Christian principles through a
leader's focus on maintaining ethical and moral values and ensuring the decisions made Create
outstanding outcomes. Business analytics and data collection are instrumental to any
organizational success; however, if a Christian leader practices biblical principles, the
information gathered is highly reliable and impacts and improves the ability to decide and
achieve outcomes.
Inappropriate Data Collection Consequences
If any organization chooses to utilize data collected through a method that is unreliable
and false, the organization is at risk for detrimental results. Defective and deficient data can
create an environment where decision-making can impact organizational growth and further

development in a complex healthcare environment. Any decision made by a leader who relies on
inaccurate data will create adverse outcomes for the organization. Organizations, especially
healthcare organizations, can have significant consequences if decisions are made based on this
inefficient and defective data.
In addition to poor decisions made from data that could be of higher quality, monetary
consequences can also occur. It is well understood that decisions made from insufficient data
increase the cost that occurs to the business (Datnow & Park, 2019). Prices generally rise for
organizations when focusing on normal operations such as gathering supplies or routine
maintenance performance that result from poor data collection (Datnow & Park, 2019). When a
healthcare organization implements tactics or a process that creates reliability for the collection
of data can help a healthcare organization focus on cost containment (Datnow & Park, 2019).
Healthcare organizations must also worry about patient experience and patient
satisfaction. Rating and comments from prior community members who have experienced poor
care are very vocal in providing this information to social media and governmental agencies.
This information may be only a tiny percentage of the community perspective; however, this can
drive down business if the data needs to be corrected. The experience of the community
population providing care within a healthcare organization should not be underestimated. A
Healthcare organization's ability to provide outstanding and exceptional patient care and services
is instrumental to maintaining a competitive advantage over other healthcare organizations' edge
(Samitsch, 2015). Healthcare organizations rely on community patrons as a business to ensure
operational revenue is achieved. If the community declines services within their local healthcare
organization to seek care at another, the organization is at risk for failure.

Patients who have had negative experiences within the healthcare organization or the
healthcare organization have had a negative outcome based on flawed data analytics, consumers
will no longer trust in the healthcare organization's services and will start seeking assistance
elsewhere. Bad outcomes, poor patient experience, and lack of patient satisfaction can create a
false analytical data sample if the sample size is small and not randomized (Bartlett, 2013). The
result of poor outcomes and experience can also drive down team member productivity and
increase costs due to decreased funding or reimbursements. Ensuring that the data sample
contains accurate information is mandatory for a healthcare organization's leadership to focus on
improving decisions to improve outcomes (Mandinach, 2022).
Data that has been gathered that is of poor quality or dark data will not just impact the
organizational profitability but, in healthcare organizations, can affect overall patient outcomes,
patient experience, and patient satisfaction (Ahmed & Pathan, 2019; Bartlett, 2013). Adding
teams and equipment that can support highly reliable data retrieval and eliminate dark data can
support improved outcomes (Ahmed & Pathan, 2019). Implementing any technology or
analytical process that improves data quality will lead to profitability. If a healthcare
organization cannot focus on highly reliable data analytics, the organization will encounter a
decrease in productivity.
Christian Perspective of Data Collection Process
Healthcare organizations can encounter several obstacles throughout data collection, so
Christian leaders must practice their ethical principles. When Christian leaders practice moral
and biblical principles, their healthcare organization is more likely to achieve accurate, highly
reliable, and relevant information to maximize outcomes and create an efficient environment to
decide. Healthcare organizations benefit from employing Christian leaders whose guiding

principles support ethical, highly reliable, accurate data collection (Merida 2015). These guiding
principles result in competitive advantages healthcare organizations achieve through their
Christian leader's practices.
Christian leaders' moral behaviors ensure that decisions about their Christian values are
made. Other team members note these behaviors, and honesty and integrity are practiced and
modeled as their Christian leader sets the example. As mentioned in Exodus 20:16, God
commanded, "Thou shall not bear false testimony against thy neighbor," which is noted in the
Ten Commandments (The Holy Bible, 2015). Core traits of Christian leaders are integrity and
ethical character; these characteristics will ensure that any data analytics gathered is highly
reliable (Merida 2015). Christian leaders uphold truth, value, integrity, and honesty when
involved in any research to ensure the results are non-bias and reliable; the data that Christian
leaders can obtain support decisions strategically made to improve healthcare organizations'
development and further growth. Healthcare organizations may feel uncomfortable with
Christian leaders; however, consideration based on the Christian leader's principles of practice
needs to be reviewed as an organization will reap benefits from the results of the Christian
leader's actions.
Christian leaders also exhibit characteristics such as compassion and excellence. These
traits support Christian leaders practicing biblical principles that lead to the ability to collect
highly reliable data that improves productivity. Knowing that Jesus taught the road by exhibiting
compassion and greatness in every story noted in the Bible helps us understand how a Christian
leader could improve productivity. Jesus led by example, asking all his followers 2 cherish and
honor his Father, our Lord God (Merida, 2015). Christian leaders use principles to focus on
outcomes of the larger good, demonstrating the excellence and compassion needed to ensure that

decisions are made based on accurate information. Leveraging all Christian principles, healthcare
organizations cannon sure the collected data is highly reliable and creates a productive, cost-
effective environment (Bartlett, 2013).
Conclusion
An essential element of the success of every company, including healthcare
organizations, is efficient, practical, and highly reliable data collected to support strategic
decision-making and ethical practices. Data that is effective and inappropriately gathered impacts
organizational outcomes, decreases productivity, and can impact team members' and leaders'
success. Understanding the ability to mitigate negative consequences from inappropriate data
analysis is essential to apply Christian biblical principles for leadership. These biblical principles
will minimize any impact on decisions, increase operational costs, and, most crucially, negative
patient experience. All of these will ultimately decrease operating revenue and impact
organizational overhead.
