Thematic Analysis Essay 2, Acts 8:1–12:25
The theme in Acts 8:1-3 is more of the martyrdom and the persecution suffered by
Stephen, all this cause a separation or scattered all the disciples across the land to preach the
Gospel which also caused the wide spread of the Gospel and streghning the meaning of it which
wasn’t the main objective of those persecuting Stephen, which was to shut it down. With
Stephen’s death started the revolutionary movement of the Gospel across the land which was the
intent at the beginning from Jesus Christ to spread the Gospel in all Judea and Jerusalem.
From Acts 2 through 8 the Gospel seems unstoppable after the killing of Stephen, many
more came to accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Stephen was helped by the Holy Spirit and
streghnining his faith which it did help when the desciples were spreaded out all over the land
and the Gospel was spread out to everybody including the non-belivers, along the way many
came to learn and right after to teach and spread the Gospel as the original desciples just as Jesus
intended to. Out of all this events Saul was converted into Christianity after been the main
persecuter against Christians, we see how God no matter what kind of person or human being are
we, God is always with us and God can change and do anything.
In Acts 10 we continue to see the interaction of Peter with Cornelius which intels how the
relationship of these two individuals, turned around what was believed at that time and what it
was according to the law before Jesus came, God’s intensions are to save everybody from the
beginning of humankind after sin entered into the hearts of men. Cornelius was a gentile which
was guided by the Holy Spirit and which this act was the beginning to a believe that God was not
only for the Jews but also for the Gentiles and those that wanted to repent, but Peter had a very
important message to the Jews and Christians in Jerusalem about his behavior with Cornelius
which spoke about God’s position to reach the Gentiles.
