John 2:1-8

out of wine.

to my life)? A practical truth here could be that I’m sure these servants had many doubts when
filling vases up with water and especially bringing them out to serve, but they had faith in Jesus.
John 2:16-22

What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus is speaking to the Jews about making the House of God into a
house of trade.

believe this also reveals who Jesus is by calling the temple his fathers house and raising a new
temple on the third day.
What is the result of the conversation? The result of this conversation is the remembrance of
the disciples of this moment after the crocfixion of Jesus.

to my life)? A great practical truth to take away from these verses is that Jesus' words will
always come to pass. We see the disciples realize this as they think back on the event.
John 3:3-21
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus is talking to Nicodemus
What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus talks to Nicodemus about being born again and God’s love for
the world.

reveals tha Jesus is the Son of Man and that Jesus is God’s son.

helping him to understand the spiritual truth of his words.

to my life)? One practical truth that can always be applied in John chapter is a reminder of how
much God really loves each one of us.
John 4:1-26
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus is talking to a Samarian woman at the well.

everlasting water and about her past life.

talks about the water that only he can give and specifically reveals himself as the Messiah to this
woman.

had said and done for her.

to my life)? I believe these verses are a good reminder that the life, or water Christ provides is
better and will satisfy our souls more than anything else in this life.
John 4:27-38
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus is speaking to his disciples
What is the subject of the conversation? The conversation is about physical food and a
different kind of food Jesus talks about which is the will of God.

the purpose of Jesus and his goal while he is on Earth and for the future to come.
What is the result of the conversation? It does not specify the result of this specific
conversation but this must have been a critical teaching point for the disciples about why Jesus is
on earth.

to my life)? We can apply this truth of purpose that Jesus had to our own lives, we too are called
to the fields of souls that are white for harvest.
John 4:46-54
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus speaks to an official at Capernum.
What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus and the official talk about his sick son who is
dying.

conversation reveleals the authority that Jesus has over all sickness and disease.
What is the result of the conversation? The man leaves after speaking with Jesus and upon
return his servants tell him he is well and recovering.

to my life)? To believe in Jesusno matter what, that man could have easily left not believing
because what Jesus said was basically impossible for the human mind.
John 5:1-17
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus is talking to a paralyzed man of 38 years.
What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus is asking if the man wants to be healed.
Does this conversation reveal something about the person (human/deity) of Jesus? This conversation again
Reveals Jesus' authority to heal all affliction and disease but also healed on the Sabbath for a reason.
What is the result of the conversation? The man is told by Jesus to take his bed and walk and
he did.

to my life)? Jesus is a healer, he wants to heal us and gives us new life.
John 5:18-47
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus is talking to the Jews seeking to kill him for the things he said
and healing on the Sabbath.
What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus talks about the authority he has and the
witnesses of himself. Talking about his relationship with God the Father.

Chapter taht reveals much of who Jesus is, how he operates, his purpose and what he brings to the world.
What is the result of the conversation? After all this it states in the next chapter that Jesus went
away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee.

to my life)? There are many truths packed into chapter 5 but the main takeaway is understanding
that Jesus is the Son of God and his relationship with God. Explaining who he is to the Jews who
question and now for the whole world.
John 6:1-15
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus is speaking to his disciples.
What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus speaks to his disciples about how the people are
hungry and they do not have enough food for them.

reveals Jesus' capability to perform yet another impossible miracle to feed the crowds.
What is the result of the conversation? As a result of this, the people believed that Jesus is the
Prophet who has come into the world.

to my life)? A great truth here is not only can Jesus perform a miracle for any one of us but he
doesn’t just give us the bare minimum but more than enough.
John 6:22-59
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus is talking to the crowds that followed him to Capernaum.
What is the subject of the conversation? The conversation is about the bread of life and doing
the works of God.
Does this conversation reveal something about the person (human/deity) of Jesus? Jesus revelas himself as
the bread of life and that who lives off Jesus will live forever.
What is the result of the conversation? The words spoken by Jesus left many of the Jews
grumbling and doubting his claims including many of his disciples.

to my life)? Jesus is the bread of life for everyone and it is given freely, I should always remind
myself to focus on the main thing, the only person that gives me life and that is Jesus.
John 6:60-70
Who is Jesus talking to? His disciples and the twelve.
What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus is speaking about the words of eternal life.
Does this conversation reveal something about the person (human/deity) of Jesus? Jesus agains calls him
Self the Son of Man while also reiterating that no one can come to the Father except through him.
What is the result of the conversation? Many of the disciples are upset and leave but the
Twelve remain with him.

to my life)? It is a good reminder to read this and know that Jesus is our source for our eternal
life and we should be forever grateful.
John 7:1-36
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus is talking to his brothers and then also to the Jews in the temple.
What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus speaks to the Jews about his teaching and about
Him who sent him.
Does this conversation reveal something about the person (human/deity) of Jesus? It reveals that Jesus is
able to teach like he does and that Jesus tells them again they would know who him if they knew God.
What is the result of the conversation? Jesus’s words upsets the Jews and they seek to have
him arrested.

to my life)? A practical truth here is how there will be many that will be upset by the truth and
the Word of God.
John 7:37-52
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus speaks to any and all Jews that would listen to his words.
What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus is imploring anyone who thirsts to come to him
and out of him will flow rivers of living water.
Does this conversation reveal something about the person (human/deity) of Jesus? It reveals that Jesus will
give the Holy Spirit to those who believe in him.
What is the result of the conversation? The crowds of Jews are divided on if he is the Christ, a
prophet, or a blasphemer.

to my life)? I believe that this is a good reminder again that Jesus is our source of life and as he
says we should come to him and drink.
John 8:1-11
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus speaks to the Pharisees and the adulterous woman
What is the subject of the conversation? The scribes try to entrap Jesus with the laws but Jesus
does not fall for it and eventually they all leave without condemning the woman and Jesus
forgives the woman.
Does this conversation reveal something about the person (human/deity) of Jesus? To me this conversation
reveals the love he has for all of us no matter the sin but hates the judegement cast from others.
What is the result of the conversation? The woman is forgiven and the scribes gave up with
their testing.

to my life)? We should not view ourselves as better than any other who has sinned because we
too have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.
John 8:12-59
Who is Jesus talking to? In all of these passages Jesus is speaking to the Jews/Pharisees.
What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus says that he is the light of the world, he is the
truth, and lastly that before Abraham was I am.

characteristic of who Jesus claims to be in public like never before revealing more and more of his true nature.
What is the result of the conversation? The Jews tried to stone Jesus after all of his words
thinking that it was blasphemous.

to my life)? Jesus sets us free with His truth, that is something that many of us desperately need
in life.
John 9:1-12
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus speaks to a blind man from birth.
What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus talks with his disciples about sin and the man's
blindness and that his blindness is for God’s work to be displayed in him.
Does this conversation reveal something about the person (human/deity) of Jesus? I believe this
conversation can reveal a lot about why sometimes there are diseases or afflictions, so they may be used for
God’s glory.
What is the result of the conversation? The man is healed from his blindness after washing his
eyes.

to my life)? That sometimes we cannot understand sickness and disease but need to have faith
God can work through us.
John 10:1-21
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus again is speaking to the Jews.
What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus talks about how he is the good shepherd and
how he takes care of his sheep.
Does this conversation reveal something about the person (human/deity) of Jesus? Jesus is our shepherd
and when we go astray he comes after and rescues all who have gone astray.
What is the result of the conversation? The Jews were confused and divided again by Jesus'
words.

to my life)? No matter what my circumstance or what I’ve done, Jesus the good shepherd loves
and comes after me.
John 10:22-42
Who is Jesus talking to? Jesus speaks to the Jews once more asking for him to reveal himself as
the Christ.
What is the subject of the conversation? Jesus says that he and the Father are one.
Does this conversation reveal something about the person (human/deity) of Jesus? Jesus explains to the
Jews how he and the Fathera are one but they do not believe this.
What is the result of the conversation? The result once again is the attempt to arrest Jesus for
his words spoken to the Jews.

to my life)? I believe these verses help us to understand how the connection, relationship, and
trinity of God, Christ, and the Holy Spirirt all are intertwined as one.
