Running head: THEORIES AND WORLDVIEW
ESSAY
We all are a creation by God. God created us in his own image, in the image of God created
him; male and female created he them (Genesis 1:27). I believe we are put here for a reason.
God has our lives planned for us. We just have to let Him guide our steps and stay on the right
path He chose for us. Sometimes we may stray off the right path and things start to go wrong.
Through prayer and faith, we can return to the right path. Many of us are doing things in life that
we were not designed to do. We are able to do them and complete certain assignments, but those
things aren’t what we were specifically designed and created to do. If He designed you with
specific talents, characteristics, gifts and an anointing to accomplish a certain purpose, then that
is what He wants ad needs you to do. So often, people try and fix themselves to fi a certain ideal
of what they think they should look like or who they think they should be, but they haven’t
consulted their heavenly manufacturer to understand His perfect design. You have been created
on purpose with a purpose. We all have our morals that we follow. The morals that we are
raised with are most of the time from our culture and the way we were raised. To us because we
were raised to believe a certain way, then to us, it’s right because that’s all we know. We all have
plans and goals to reach. Once we reach them, is it over, No. We continue to strive for the better
and if we continue to do this then we will reach our destination.
Sociocultural theory is an emerging theory in psychology that looks at the important
contributions that society makes to individual development. This theory stresses the interaction
between developing people and the culture in which they live. Sociocultural theory also suggests
that human learning is largely a social process. A man is the product of his environment. This
was the underlying assumption of behavioral psychologists like Pavlov, Maslow and Skinner.
When it comes to the nature of man, they were the most consistent naturalists.

The major goal in human development is to determine how hereditary and environment
combine to determine development. With that said, I would say biological forces are the most
influential force in human development. Biological force covers so many areas in the human
development. In the cycles of human development, nutrition and the environment fall into that
category which are the non-social, natural forces that influence a person's development, or
maturation. Biological forces include all of the natural or environmental contributions, from food
and water to carcinogens and viruses.
Sociocultural beliefs deal with your customs, values, and what your morals are pertaining to
your culture. These things shape a person to be who they are. Biological influences a person’s
development as well as sociocultural deals with the developing their values, morals and your
customs beliefs.
