Critical Thinking- It is recognizing and evaluating opinions and so called evidence.
Its reflecting meaning and significance of statements and ideas. It tests the
reasonable of statements and ideas.
Worldview- Basis on your moral decision making. How you see the world.
Biblical Worldview- God revealed Himself to us, and how we see the world with
the God’s lenses.
Biblical Ethic-God’s unchanging nature, dependent on God’s truth. It is
authoritative and prescript.
Christian Liberty- a. CONFIDENT about God
b. CONVINCED for ourselves
c. CONSIDERATE of other believers
d. UNITY (we must all protect it)
e. CONVERN for unbelievers
Hinduism-When you die you get reincarnated, trying to see beyond this world
(third eye)
Buddhism- Endless cycle, birth, death, and rebirth. Animals and humans are both
sentient. They want to detach themselves from cravings of the world, they do that
by the Four Noble truths of suffering and follow the Noble Eightfold Path.
Islam- The Qur’an, Five Pillars, Muhammad.
Syncretism- The idea of an indiscriminate blending of concepts & ideas from opposing
systems.
Theocentric- Belief of "The existence of God," will be at the center of what a person
evaluates. "God is the center."
Anthropocentric. - Denies the existence of God. From a man-centered perspective.
Worldview-
Legalism- Adding requirements for salvation beyond faith and repentance. Making
human preferences necessary for salvation or holy living which are not specifically
required by scripture.

Atheism-
Nihilism- There is no meaning, nothingness. Life is meaningless because there isn't a
God.
Theism- Says, "God exists, was the creator of the world, and is personally and
intimately involved with His creation. God operates through natural law but can and
does intervene in the affairs of mankind."
Proof-Texting- Taking scripture out of context to support a personal interpretation.
Inspiration- God breathed Word; through the prophets and Holy Spirit
Hedonism- Defines pleasure and pain according to the human conclusion and sensory
input. (All struggle and pain is defined as evil. Delayed gratification is defined as evil. "If
it feels good, do it!")
Pragmatism-"The end justifies the means." The key concept is doing what works for
them. Focus is upon intentions rather than upon doing right and wrong. If ones
"intentions" are good, it does not matter what they do. It can be an individual or societal
approach to morality.
Subjectivism- "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion." Feelings become
authoritative! Individuals make moral choices based upon what makes them happy.
Moral and social chaos ensues, for there are no absolutes of right and wrong.
Pantheism-Says, "God and the world are the same thing."
Ex: Hinduism, Buddhism, Christian Science, new age movement
Naturalism-Says, "The only reality exists in the natural realm." (ex. atheism)
Ex: secular humanism, atheism, evolutionary
What are the five questions every worldview should answer?
1. Origin (beginning)
2. Identity (being)
3. Meaning (Purpose)
4. Morality (Ethics)
5. Destiny (future)
Know the Law of Non-Contradiction- Something cannot both exist and not exist to
be true and false at the same time in the same way.

Informal Logical Fallacies- In rhetoric, a fallacy is simply any error, whether
intentional or unintentional, in reasoning.
