Visionary leadership and its impact on organizations globally.
Leaders in various organizations globally need to be visionary for effective results.
Firms capitalize on effective leadership in order to achieve their goals. A visionary leader is
one who is in line with the organization’s aims and effectively strategize on how to achieve
them. This paper will analyze an article by Taylor, Cornelius, and Colvin, (2014) and try to
illustrate the significance of a vision in leading members within an organization. The title of
the article is “Visionary leadership and its relationship to organizational effectiveness.”
Leaders with vision show great success in different organizations globally.
The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between leaders of high
transformational perception and their effectiveness in an organization. A research study was
conducted among executive leaders and their subordinates of nonprofit organizations in the
United States of America. The leaders responded to measures of leadership perceptions and
the firm effectiveness whereas the subordinates responded to the effectiveness of the
organization in regards to the different leadership styles. The findings revealed a significant
relationship between organizational success and visionary leaders. Leaders who were
visionary and highly skilled achieved organizational effectiveness as compared to their
