1. Is there sufficient evidence to conclude that the average time to deliver a pizza, once the order

Based on the tests that were preformed it looks like the delivery time will be longer than 25 min.

Day of the week does have an effect on the delivery time. You can see that as the week goes on
through Friday(5) and Saturday(6) the mean delivery time gets higher.
3. Does the time of day have an effect on delivery time? Perform an appropriate statistical test to

What hour of the day it is does not have any connection to the delivery time. Running the analysis the
outcomes state that the null hypothesis needs to be rejected. There is not correlation between time of
day and delivery time.
4. Discuss Tony Scapelli’s data design and collection. Comment on any potential problems
resulting from the way in which the data were collected. Would you recommend that he collect
additional data in order to better evaluate the pizza delivery service? Explain. [5 points]
Some of the problems with Tonys data collection is that it was only done over a short period of
time. If he were to do it on a continuing basis and get a larger data, which could lead to better
and more accurate analysis. It was also timed by hand, if there was a way to computerize it you
might be able to get more accurate times. There is also no tie to sales volume, which I would
guess in a family business would back things up slightly, therefore leading to a longer delivery
times.
5. Based on your analysis of the data, what action (or actions) would you recommend to the
owners of Tony’s Pizza to improve their operations? Attach any supporting JMP output that led
to your conclusion. [5 points
I think that adding more staff would help, they would allow for there to be less delay when
pizzas are waiting for drivers. It would also help to process the pizzas faster.
