Power in "Survivor" was transitory, as players switched allegiances and tried to get their
way. Influence was extremely important, therefore it was desirable to use persuasion, bargaining,
or even manipulation to lead other players along the route anticipated of them. Who holds power
at any given time is determined by their charisma, domination, and social abilities (Allen &
Heredia, 2021). Coalition creation is a key strategy in "Survivor." The game players collaborate
to improve their chances of survival by giving resources and votes, thereby neutralizing common
risks.
In "Shark Tank," the power dynamic clearly favors the investors—the Sharks.
Entrepreneurs must convincingly pitch their concepts in order to pique the Sharks' interest and
secure an investment in their business. Influence is asserted by the Sharks' knowledge, financial
resources, and market connections utilized to drive hard deals. Coalitions in "Shark Tank" form
when some of the Sharks pool their resources to make joint offers. They are strategic alliances in
the sense that what each Shark brings to the table can be integrated into a compelling offer for
the entrepreneur.
Knowing the political frame is essential for future public administrators for a variety of
reasons. Principally, it helps one grasp the dynamics of power and influence strategies much
better, thus being able to lead others with authority and navigate through complex political
scenarios (Bolman & Deal, 2017). This knowledge would be instrumental in making strategic
decisions that align with organizational goals and stakeholder interests. The other critical aspect
of organizational dynamics is the effective management of organizational conflict. There are
various techniques to manage and resolve organizational conflicts, including mediation and an
open communication policy (Allen & Heredia, 2021). It would be equally fundamental to

understand how these techniques work differently in different contexts in order to hold a team
together at work (Bolman & Deal, 2017). Effective conflict resolution will not only keep the
team from falling apart but also ensure that the conflicts are sorted out constructively for better
outcomes in organizations.
The political frame applied to reality TV provides a lot of insight into at least the
operation and effects of power dynamics, influence strategies, and coalition formation. These
observations, along with the readings, have provided a robust framework through which one can
understand organizational behavior. For future public administrators, mastering these concepts
means effective leadership, conflict management, and strategic decision-making in complex
political environments.
