Research Paper - 6th stage - Version 2 "Final Version"
Complete the paper (Version 2, the final paper). You revise the paper (Version 1) in light of my comments and suggestions as well as those from peer review, and turn in Version 2 complete with all references, footnotes, and format requirements via BlackBoard.
This is my professor comment on version 1:
I have made extensive comments in the text itself (I have attached this version for your review). Be sure to read the comments carefully.
I think you need to recast the paper as a critique of the Phillips Curve, taken in historical perspective. You will need to focus on one or two of the major critics of the analysis. You will also need to write much more about the Phillips Curve.
The paper is too short right now, and the paper also does not have a clear logical flow. I think you should have a brief introduction about the relationship between inflation and unemployment, and then write about the origins of the Phillips Curve and its acceptance in the economics profession, followed by its later rejection. You should pick key players in this, read their works carefully, and use those in your critique. Right now, you mainly cite authors without developing what they wrote into your own critique.
A strong research question at the beginning of your paper would be important. Something like, Why Did the Phillips Curve Win the Approval of the Economics Profession and then Fall into Disfavor?
It has to be consistent with the Original Paper and continue with its idea!
