Discuss which of the three patterns best describes your experience or the experience of someone you know (you can include parenting examples from television or film as well). You can ask your parents to help you out on this one! Because parenting style is influenced by (a) the gender of the parent and (b) ethic/cultural differences, feel free to incorporate these topics into your response. What does the text say is the “best” parenting style and why?
