Use one of the critical methodologies  to discuss some thematic or structural similarity in a least three different works by any three writers.

• The critical methodology to be used is gender criticism.
• I have already written the thesis that and chosen the three works. However, you can change the 3 pieces of literature as long as they are on the list (attached).

Thesis:

During the 1800s, Americans generally believed that there was a definite difference in character between the sexes-men were active, dominant, assertive, and materialistic, while women were religious, modest, passive, submissive, and domestic. Their gender steretypes are at the forefront in three pieces of literature: Barn Buring by William Faulkner, Winter Dreams by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and The emperor of Ice-Cream by Wallace Stevens.
