Studies have shown that CDSSes reduce medication errors, increase physician and patient satisfaction, decrease cost, and even decrease the rate of hospital-acquired (nosocomial) infections. However, recent studies have shown that widespread use of CDSSes is limited. Discuss the following:

• Discuss some of the many challenges that providers and organizations face when developing a CDSS.
