This is a really good paper overall. It is very well-written and the intentional structure makes it very easy to follow. In addition, the analysis is strong for the most part, though it could be pushed a little further in some instances (see the marginal notes throughout the hard copy).

One thing to consider though are the primary differences between popular and scholarly texts and how the articles you chose reflect them. Your paper almost implies that the only difference between scholarly and popular sources is the level of formality--scholarly sources being more formal.

But is that it? What about how the authors support their positions? What types of evidence they use? Where they find that evidence? The amount and quality of the evidence? How do those differences play out in the paper?
