Assignment Instructions
For the Unit 5 Assignment, you will incorporate your instructor’s feedback from the Unit 3
Assignment and increase your word count to at least 3,000 words as a final draft of the Learning
Autobiography.
IMPORTANT: Even after you have submitted your Learning Autobiography at the end of this
unit, remember to come back to this narrative inside the PDAS and to update/edit as needed, as
you continue to develop and hone your Course Petitions and course selections over units 6 and
8, and develop learning statements for each course you have selected.
Remember to think of the Expanded Resume as the bones of your learning (where, when, and
for how long) and the Learning Autobiography as the meat: the color of your hair, the clothes
you wear, your style in life, etc.
Also, be sure to go back through your Learning Autobiography to ensure that you have added
real-world examples in your narrative to support the courses (and course outcomes) that you
selected in Unit 4, along with the learning statements that you are developing in this unit.
Your Learning Autobiography is a document that will describe your learning in the form of a
narrative. In your Learning Autobiography, you will reflect upon the experiences you included in
your Expanded Resume, but now with your course selection taken into consideration. Refer to
the outcomes of the courses you have selected, along with the learning statements you have
developed for each Course Petition. Since this is the only essay-style narrative in your portfolio,
it is very important that you write clearly and use proper punctuation, structure, and grammar in
your sentences and paragraphs in order to demonstrate college-level writing skills.
Your Learning Autobiography will focus on three things: your experiences, your acquired
learning, and how your learning has grown over time.
Remember to incorporate your instructor’s feedback from the Unit 3 Assignment and increase
your word count to at least 3,000 words.
Submit Your Assignment
Put your assignment in a Word or Excel document. Save it in a location and with a name that
you will remember. When you are ready to submit it, go to the Dropbox and complete the steps
below:

● In the Submit to Basket menu, select Unit 5: Assignment ● Click the Add Attachments button ● Follow the steps listed to attach your document ● To view your graded work, come back to the Dropbox or go to the Gradebook after your
instructor has evaluated it
Make sure that you save a copy of your Assignment.
