Samsung Commercial Against Apple Rhetorical Analysis

Some big companies make a humorous commercials to attract customers and make them talk about the commercials with other people because they like the idea of the commercial. Also, some companies make jokes on each other to show the customers how they are more creative than other companies and how they are ahead of their products than others companies. Sometimes this might be correct they really have better products and sometime not correct. All this to convince the customers and make them buy their products. An example, of this would be the Samsung’s Commercial for their Galaxy Note 4 witch launched on September, 2014. The commercial talk about the big screen of their device and how beauty it is. Also, about Apple IPhone 6 plus that has a big screen as the Galaxy Note 4 and they show how Apple’s late of making a cell phone that has a big screen.

The Commercial starts by showing the first Galaxy Note 1 that launched in 2011 and has big screen like Apple’s IPhone 6 plus that launched in this year 2014. The Galaxy Note 1 Ahead of the IPhone 6 plus for 3 years and then they show Galaxy Note 2, 3, and 4 that they launched on 2012, 2013, and 2014 and all of them has big screen. They said that the Galaxy Note 1 is ahead of its time and the people were ready for it. Also, they said that the competitive imitated the Galaxy Note and the made a big screen but the Galaxy Note is not only big and has big screen. It is more productive, innovative, and more fun. Then they said that the people are saying the iPhone 6 plus like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 from 2012 and apple thinks that their iPhone 6 plus fresh Idea when Samsung mobile has selling them for years already. Here we see how Samsung would to tell us that Apple are imitated them and how they are more creative than Apple.

Samsung made this commercial after Apple launched their IPhone 6 plus that has a big screen to show the costumers that Apple too late. Also, to convince the customers who planned to buy the iPhone 6 plus and change their mind to buy the Galaxy Note 4. Samsung strategy on this commercial is compare and contrast Samsung as a company that is ahead of apple and more innovative than Apple. Furthermore, they compare and contrast the Galaxy Note 4 with the iPhone 6 plus. By saying that the Galaxy Note 4 is more productive, innovative, and more fun. This is better than only make a commercial for their product without compare and contrast with their competitive which is IPhone 6 plus by this strategy make the customer think twice before buying the IPhone 6 plus.

The launched of the IPhone 6 plus was a shock for Samsung because they were in control of the big cell phones marketing. Also, they have their customer who loves to buy Samsung cell phones because of their big screen. Too many people would like to buy IPhone but they do not like to buy iPhone because of its small screen. But not any more after apple starts to sell IPhone 6 plus and this might make Samsung’s customers specially who loves to use phones that has big screens to switch to Apple cell Phones and this is one more reason make Samsung to film this commercial and not being dismissed of its customers and to keep being in the competitive whit Apple and other companies.

The Samsung’s commercials are trying to target the customers how loves to use phones with big screen and there is a message for them as well. They are trying to target Apple funs. Also, they are trying to target other companies’ customers too. In addition, to sell as many as they can of their products. Oddly of this this competition is that Apple did not responded to Samsung with any other commercial as a reply of Samsung commercials. This is not the only commercial that Samsung make compare, contrast and jokes of Apple products. Which means that Apple selling their products easily without any effort and spending money in advertisement. As a result, Samsung trying to be on the competition with Apple and other companies by using comedy advertisement of Apple as a company and its products like the IPhone 6 plus, IPhone 6, iPad Air, and more.

As a customer who do not like to watch commercials at all. I think this kind of advertisement is not effective they really make me laugh sometimes and other times make me feel that the companies are envious of each other. Also, this kind of commercials never effective my decision of buying a product of any kind.

Same businesses are using entertaining commercials to attract customers and convince their customers to buy their products. Also, show them how they are more creative by compare and contrast their products with other companies’ products. An example, of this is Samsung mobile that always compare and contrast their product with Apple’s product and make jokes on them. Especially after apple launched their IPhone 6 plus that has a big screen which is smaller to Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on the screen size which is going to attract Samsung customers who love to use a cell phone with a big screen. For this reason, Samsung filmed a commercials to show off how they are a head of Apple and others companies. Also, the tried to show the customers how they are innovative than Apple and others companies. Because they were in control of the big cell phones with large screen size marketing. Also, to keep targeting customers who are in love with big screen size.
