Continue to develop an attention getter. The Career that I chose is network systems administration. I chose this career because it was the closest career related to the field that I really wanted to go into. My dream job the job that I really want would be building and repairing computers which are closely related to Information Technology field. ITT-Tech offers a degree in the information technology field but not online which was extremely disappointing to me because it’s really the field I wanted to go into but I don’t have time to go to campus. Unlike many other professions, there is no single path to becoming a network systems administrator. Many system administrators have a degree in a related field such as computer science, information technology, computer engineering, information systems, or even a trade school program. On top of this, nowadays some companies require certain IT certifications. Cite outside source and avoid Wikipedia and other similar editable sources.
Two of the most sought after qualifications that employers and companies look at when interviewing a potential employee for network system administration are Cisco Certified Network Admin (CCNA) and CompTIA A+ 2012. The CCNA certification is a certification that basically validates your fundamental understanding of networking. The CompTIA A+ 2012 certification teaches key skills of how to operate systems such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventative maintenance and basic networking. CompTIA A+ is one of the most trusted credentials for candidates in the IT industry. . Cite direct sources and note direct quotes with opening and closing quotation marks. In networking systems administration and the IT field in general it’s really important to have a strong ability in the following skills: p; Problem solving, researching, analyzing, organizing, and planning. Without having this skills It’s very easy to get frustrated with a lot of networking problems (sSpeaking from experience), so it’s very important to be able to take a step back and analyze the problem from many different aspects which is where good problem solving and researching skills come in.
I currently do meet a lot of these qualifications, but there are also quite a few of them that I need to work on. I have a lot of experience building and configuring computers and installing a lot of different operating systems as well as networking devices. I’ve been building and fixing computers for my family and friends and even co-workers for many years. Ever since I saw my first computer when I was a young kid I knew I wanted everything to do with them and I’ve self-taught myself everything I know about computers and networking over the years by trial and error as well as research and tutorials. At the moment I do not have a degree in networking systems administration which is why I’m in this class and course at ITT-Tech so I can earn my NSA Degree. I also do not have my certifications in CCNA and CompTIA A+ 2012 which I intend to get after I graduate from ITT-Tech and earn my degree or sometime toward the end of getting my degree.
The typical tasks of the network system administrator include the following but are definitely not limited to them: d; Designing and planning the network, setting up the network, maintaining the network, and expanding the network. Designing a network involves making decisions about the type of network that best suits the needs of your organization. In larger sites this task is performed by a senior network architect. Cite all directly quoted material. (An experienced network administrator familiar with both network software and hardware) After the network is designed, setting up the network begins. This consists of installing the hardware that makes up the physical part of the network, and configuring the files, databases, hosts, routers, and network configuration servers. Maintaining the network consists of the bulk of work for network system administrators which include but are not limited to; Adding new hosts machines to the network, administering network security, administering network services such as NFS services, name services, and electronic mail, troubleshooting network problems, troubleshooting OS problems, and troubleshooting hardware problems.
Expanding the network depends on how on a few things, the longer a network is in place and functioning properly, the more your organization might want to expand is features and services. Initially you can increase network population by adding new hosts and expanding network services by providing additional shared software. But eventually a single network will expand to the point where it can no longer operate efficiently. That is when it must enter into expansion. Expanding the network can include the following; Setting up a new network and connecting it to the existing network using a machine functioning as a router, thus creating an internetwork, configuring machines in a user’s home or in remote office sites and enabling these machines to connect over telephone/cable lines to your network, connecting your network to the internet, thus enabling users on your network to retrieve information from other systems throughout the world, configuring UUCP communications, enabling users to exchange files and electronic mail with remote machines. Just as with every single professional field out there, there are always controversial issues. And it’s the same in the NSA field, and the IT field in general. It can be anything from must have certifications, which hardware brand to us. Methods to solve issues, as well planning organizing etc. For me to list every single controversial issue within the NSA/IT field I could probably write pages on pages. These controversial issues have not made me consider an alternative career. Give a few examples for a better idea.
Add a conclusion.
