During Week 9 you have explored the process of self-evaluation for board members. For Section 5 of the Final Project, you will describe the importance of self-evaluation for nonprofit boards and executive directors.

Section 5 should include:

• Board Self-Evaluation

Explain the importance of board self-evaluation in carrying out the organization’s vision, mission, and programs. Include the importance of self-evaluation for the full board and for individual members of the board. Using the self-assessment survey on page 267 of the “Handbook of Nonprofit Governance,” provide an evaluation for the board of the organization you have chosen for the Final Project.

Submit the draft of the Final Project Section 5 for scholarly writing faculty review. Your draft should be 3–5 pages, contain a minimum of three specific, evidence-based best practices, and utilize proper APA formatting.
