Choose a country where you have always longed to go but haven't yet been and set a story there. Google the country, check out travel books and websites about it, look at maps, watch a movie set there, read about the food, check out recipes of that culture's food, etc....Always, always looking for the persuasive detail that makes the story real, something you would almost have to be there to know.
