War metaphors 250 words
For this discussion, let's consider the use of “war metaphors.” Conflict often occurs among different nations and nation-states such as India and Pakistan, Israel and Palestine, and others. Media coverage of conflicts is not the only way that the language of war infuses our daily lives. Metaphors such as "advancing the argument," “attacking your opponent,” "seizing the high ground," "being off target," or "shooting down a point" are sometimes used in personal and intercultural communication.
