Pwrite one page  What is Lamott attempting to say about perfection in writing? What does she mean when she writes “You can’t—and, in fact, you’re not supposed to—know exactly what the picture is going to look like until it has finished developing” (Lamott 39). How can we, as writers, achieve Lamott’s ideas about writing? What are the risks? What are the rewards?  In what way do Lamott’s ideas connect to the topic or themes present in Danticat’s and Gay’s work?
