Hi, just today, I heard that we are a unique place in time where there are more people over 65 and less than 18. Being one of those older folks, I would say the aging or greying of society is having a significant impact on the world of healthcare, just in the care requirements alone. Having watched my parents live well into their 90's I wonder what the future brings. Will we be a healthier population, since we have advanced medicine and science to support making the best decisions. Yet we see obesity, and many varieties of chronic disease. I see many patients who want their disease "fixed" and not to be inconvenienced by hurdles of compliance with strict exercise and dietary routines. If we have integrated these things into our lives, the future holds more positive outcomes for many. Engaging these folks early and stronger family units are also things that I think will help. Your thoughts?
