The managed care companies are looking for a large pool of people with a solid history that will predict usage. Even with a solid background, things like COVID, are unexpected and no one predicted the tremendous impact it would have on healthcare. Not just the numbers of people who became ill but the impact it had on operations, such as not being able to open their offices for months and virtual visits became an everyday reality. This will have a long lasting impact on healthcare. Managed care organizations, experienced the same significant impact that other businesses did. What types of changes to their practice occurred to limit the loss from the pandemic changes?
