In order to achieve the maximum of 100 points for Unit 1, the Proposal must be finalized and include the following:

Working Title - Be specific about what is the title of your paper.  Don't be too broad or don't be too narrow!

Introduction - This is the Introduction to any reader as to what your paper is about.  In this section, you should at least define your topic, outline the problem or purpose of your research, and state your hypothesis or reason for your research.  This paragraph will be inserted into your manuscript as your introductory or lead paragraph over the next few weeks.  Keep in mind that the reader (anyone who may read your paper, not just me) will read this paragraph 1st.  This paragraph will garner interest in the reader to read the entire paper or will make them no longer be interested to read it.  This is a crucial paragraph in your manuscript.

Problem Statement or Purpose Statement - Outline the problem that you are trying to solve or the purpose of your research.
