Week 8: Assignment - CONCEPT WORKSHEET: Practicing Summary, Paraphrase, and Quotes

For this assignment, you’ll practice your skills in summary, paraphrase, and quotation while also working on creating accurate in-text citations. Be sure you’ve done this week’s reading before completing this assignment.

Find a credible online article related to one of the topics you are considering for your research paper. Read through it closely. Then, submit a Word document with the following information: 

· A full APA reference citation for the article

· A summary of the article (a strong paragraph for this is adequate)

· A paraphrase of a part of the article

· A direct quote, taken from the section that you paraphrased

Each of these 3 items should include a correct APA in-text citation.

Finally, write a paragraph evaluating the process of creating your summary, paraphrase, and quotation.

· Which is most challenging? Why?

· Which of these techniques do you think you’ll use most frequently in your Persuasive Research Paper for this class?
