You are a paralegal working at the law office of Helen Ferrell, Esq. Claire Richardson asks Farrell to represent her in a child-support case. The court ordered the father of their child to pay $1,000 a month in child support. He is currently $25,000 in arrears. Farrell agrees to take the case. Her fee will be 40 percent of whatever amount of the arrears she collects. In addition. she will receive 10 percent of every future monthly child-support payment. Any ethical problem?
