1: Making sure your website was compatible with the different browsers, I would have thought that this would be one of the final steps after putting a website together. I guess the designers must take it for granted that it will look the same however it is accessed but with technology constantly changing I can see where it might be hard to keep up without basic standards being followed by those writing the browser program. And add that the search engines are getting more and more powerful, it is pushing web designers to keep up and update older sites.2:posted by ROBERT MC BRIDOver the last few years I have seen several cloud solutions for testing a website in various virtual web browsers.  These services don't seem to last.  Google was offering the services the last I checked.  One of the reasons for testing in various browsers is non-conformance to standards and how each browser handles HTML that is not perfect.  Some browsers will go ahead a render a web page that isn't;t correct by making assumptions.  How each browsers acts with these pages is one test point.

3: The network adapter is a piece of hardware in the computer that allows for the connection to the Internet. The patch cable connects to it which looks similar to a phone cord but is much bigger. From there the connection would typically end up in a network router which is a device that takes a network feed and splits it up between multiple users, anywhere from 10 to 50 users or more for instance.

4:Here are four 4:    4: terms that have to do with networking which I believe everyone will be familiar with because of how common place and well known they are. The first term is adapter which is a device that allows you to connect to a network. In my experience it is a cord that connects your computer to the access port. The second term is the IP address. An IP address is basically just a set of numbers every device has that is part of a network. The third term is anamoly. An anamoly is a strange or unique occurrence or in other words when you are using your computer and something unexpected happens whether it be good or bad that is an anamoly. The fourth and final term is boot. Boot is what your computer does when you turn it on. It gets the various parts of your computer running and your operating system is turn on and begins running. That is what boot means.
