1. The Monkey King story is derived from "A Journey to the West," one of the Four Greatest Chinese Classic Novels. It is no surprise that the authors' five-year old son enjoys it as you find in the book "The Panda and Monkey King Christmas," for it is doubtlessly every Chinese child's favorite. Review briefly the Four Greatest Chinese Classical Novels. 
2. In case you live off campus and have no access to the college library, read the article "China Focus: What drives China's success over 40 years?" at the official website of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (http://english.mofcom.gov.cn) and share with us your thoughts, insights, comments, or questions, criticisms, constructive suggestions, etc.
