Circumcision is a procedure that has been performed in the United States for many years, primarily for health reasons. Over the past few years, rates of circumcision in the U.S. have declined; in parts of Europe (Denmark, for example), it is a procedure that has decreased dramatically over the past 10 years, it is almost non-existent.
