This week's discussion has two parts.

1) Identify three virtual collaboration tools that you think would benefit your organization (if you can't think of any such tools off-hand, don't panic--a Google search for 'virtual collaboration tools' should yield plenty of results). Discuss the following:

• The specific capabilities of the tool that would make it a good fit for your organization
• A minimum of at least one challenge that your firm might face when implementing this tool.

2) Download this article: How Successful Virtual Teams Collaborate.docx   (Links to an external site.)

The author has identified five strategies for managing successful virtual teams ('adjust for size', etc.). Outline a basic approach to each of these strategies that would be appropriate for your organization. You don't have to go crazy; a short paragraph on each will suffice. For example, what steps will/would you take to 'adjust for size' if you were tasked with managing a virtual team for your company? How would you leverage social media? What steps would you take to train team members to collaborate?
