1. In what instances might a probation officer write a memo to the court? What about to a treatment provider? What message might the memo contain? 

2. When writing a formal letter to an agency, what key elements should you include? 

3. If you were a hiring manager, what errors would you look for in a cover letter to disqualify a candidate? 

4 . If you were to apply for a position as a corrections officer, what skills or qualifications would you highlight in your cover letter? What about on the resume?
