Spiritual and emotional well-being
Read Lamentations, then thoughtfully reflect upon chapters 2 and 3. Whom, ultimately, does the prophet blame for the miseries he recounts? How do you understand the apparent dichotomy in both God's feelings and His actions as perceived by the prophet, and the comparable dichotomy in the prophet's attitudes toward Him? What lessons can be learned about spiritual and emotional well-being in these chapters? What can we learn that can help us minister effectively to people who are suffering and are angry at God?
