 The purpose of this assignment is to describe the social and cultural factors associated with the establishment and utilization of various health care settings and institutions. Write a short report on one of the three healthcare settings discussed in Chapter 10 of the Weitz textbook or another setting approved by your instructor. The report should include a description of the setting and a description of a current challenge facing that setting. You could pick a challenge facing that setting overall or a challenge facing a particular setting (e.g. a specific hospital or nursing home). Challenges could be anything from funding to patient satisfaction to patient outcomes, etc. After reporting on the setting and challenge, draw on the Elliot article if appropriate, and cite at least two other scholarly sources, to recommend a possible solution to the challenge. Respond to at least two other students.
