1. Describe your family structure. Do you have members of your family who are in different age groups living in your household? How do they interact? What do you think are the positive and negative consequences of having a multi-generational household?

2. “But You Are Retired…” Do you know someone who has retired but continues to work?  Ask them why.  Summarize what you have learned. (if you know more than one person who has retired but is still working… feel free to ask up to 5 individuals for this assignment.)

3. “Can You Tell Me Where I can Find…”  Go to your nearest Wall-Mart, K Mart, or any “general merchandise” big box store.  Walk the aisles and identify as many products as you can that appear to be directed at the 55+ demographic.  Categorize products and provide the rationale for your categorization.
