The three issues that I stand to develop in District 16 include an increase in employment opportunities for civilians in the government sector, elevation of the citizens from the poverty level, and increase the rate constructing housing units in the District. The Increase in employment opportunities in the government sector will not only increase the opportunities, but will also generate more revenue for the government. Besides, the construction of housing units has declined in the previous period, yet the population of the District’s citizens is increasing (Capital.Texas.Gov). On the other hand, the poverty level can be reduced through two major approaches. First, I advocate for raising the minimum wage bill to enable each citizen to to generate significant salary. The second approach involves establishing vocational institutes to equip individual who were not successful in school to with self-sufficient skills.
