Hello everyone,
Scholarship requires the DNP to explore the methodologies available to enable knowledge to be transformed into practice. For example, a Quality Improvement project often requires the assembly of a team to prepare for the integration of an improvement into an organization. Some examples of Quality Improvement methods include: Model for Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma. The DNP will need to assess the organization’s readiness for change to include all stakeholders. Preparation will require an analysis of the barriers or obstacles in meeting and sustaining the goals of the project. As the improvement is integrated as a practice change, how will outcomes be measure and what evaluation strategies will need to occur? Monitoring the data is an integral part of this process.
Unit 4 Objectives
· Differentiate between the various methodologies that promote the transformation of knowledge into practice.
· Identify the stakeholders that are impacted by practice change.
· Assess the institutional readiness for practice change.
